LOCALITIES IN CABO DE GATA
Cabo de Gata Natural Park is located between the municipalities of Almería, Carboneras and Níjar (the latter includes the largest area), where you will find small Mediterranean villages in an environment of spectacular beauty. Níjar is the largest municipality in Almería, although the town is excluded from park protection.

The municipality of Níjar is the fourth greatest one of Spain, although the villa is excluded from the protection of cabo de Gata Natural Park. Carboneras

Originally it was a fishermen village, located in the bay of San Jose, between the Cerro de en medio and the Cerro of cala Higuelra. Rests of old houses are still conserved.
